When Shingle EaterTM Customers Talk, We Listen and Learn. A Shingle EaterTM customer who owns a demolition company on Long Island, N.Y. recently told us that his 5 man crews use Shingle Eaters to pull up floorboards. They use our roofing tools for flooring demolition projects, he said, because in his experience there isn't anything stronger made on the market. Based on his comments, and those from other roofers wanting more leverage, we reinforced the fulcrum and bent our footplate on a 90% angle to be used as a strike-plate or kick-plate. This is how our new Demo Eater tool was born. Another customer uses our small shin-gle eater to scrape large vats of materi-al encrusted on their boilers during peri-odic cleaning. He said because of its prying ability, they are the best for gaining leverage while scraping.
